NATURAL DURABILITY
Tauari-red wood has low natural resistance to attack by xylophagus organisms (fungi and insects).
WORKABILITY
Tauari-red wood shows excellent behavior in regard to surface finishing, accepting nails, except in the corners.
APLICATIONS
External light: rafts, frames, trim, slatches, batten.
Internal light, structural: boards, tips, lathes, rafts.
Internal lightweight, general utility: cords, linings, trim, skirting.
Other uses: vessels (keels, decks, boards and caves), plywood sheet inserts, door inserts, tool handles, cutlery, packaging (boxes, crates, pallets).
