NATURAL DURABILITY
The heartwood is resistant to attack by white and brown rot fungi. Tatajuba wood, demonstrated to have natural durability greater than seven years. Considered moderately resistant to drill attack, marine and, in contact with the ground, it may to present life useful life of more than 25 years.
WORKABILITY
Tatajuba wood is easy to work with hand tools or mechanics, producing excellent finishing. No accepted nails with ease. Drilling is recommended prior to placing nails.
APLICATIONS
Heavy Internal: Sleepers railways, crosses, stakes, fenders.
Light External: shears, beams, rafters.
Light Internal: Jambs, windows, panels, wainscoting, ceilings floors:
